Solved: I need to capture switchport's packets and see if a correct VLAN is set. Capture packets don't have VLAN IDs - whole header is missing. Workstation is Windows 10 with latest Intel driver and the driver has working VLAN support.
- Not all NICs that support VLAN tagging have this option. Setting your VLAN ID in Device Manager. Note: Log in as the local administrator before continuing. To open Device Manager: Press Windows key + R; Type devmgmt.msc; Click OK. In Device Manager, open Network adapters. Right-click on the NIC and choose Properties. Click the Advanced tab. Scroll down to VLAN ID.
- This is a question of driver suport, some drivers just don't support VLANs for certain OS's or at all. Sometimes the problem is with OEM drivers, and you might be able to get things working with a driver from the NICs manufacturer. – IsAGuest Oct 7 '16 at 7:55.

Hi Francisco,
I would suggest you to download and install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if it helps.
1. Right click on the driver setup file and then select “Properties”.
2. Choose the “Compatibility” tab.
3. Place a check mark on “Run this program in compatibility mode”.
4. Choose “Windows 8”.
5. Click on “Apply” and then “Ok”.
6. Try to install the drivers and check the issue.
You may also install available Windows Updates and see if it makes any difference.
Please update us with the status. We will be glad to assist you.

Hi,
I've upgraded twice to Windows 10 and reverted because of this issue. Are the fixes included in the upgrade now? Because indeed I cannot download them after the upgrade.
Cheers,

I've upgraded to windows 10 now but the VLAN settings for the Realtek still don't work. The previous VLAN configuration came over from the windows 8.1 configuration, but the vlans remain disabled, even when I enable them.
Realtek has updated their drivers for Windows 10 btw, but not the diagnostic utility required for configuration of the vlans.
